AZM Solutions is an IRATA Industrial Rope Access Training facility based in the heart of Marrickville, Sydney.
Having grown out of one of Australia’s most respected names in rope access, we’ve taken everything that was great—including the incredible standards, safety record and genuinely top-notch instructors—and built something with a personality of its own.
Built on the idea that people learn best through play, we’ve created a program that ensures our trainees are prepared for whatever real life scenario is thrown their way. Our goal is to turn the ropes into a place you actually want to be and we don’t muck around with safety.
Every course we run meets the IRATA International standards to the letter and our philosophy is simple: no job is worth an injury and every injury is preventable. We make the process fun but safety always comes first.
What you can expect from us
- Internationally recognised IRATA qualifications: the global benchmark for working at height
- Instructors who still work in the industry and bring real jobs into the classroom
- A purpose-built facility: the largest of its kind on the east coast of Australia
- A team that treats you like a future mate, not a booking reference
TESTIMONIALS
THEY SAID IT BEST
Great center with a massive range and selection of equipment to use. Big enough space to not be on top of each other all week, but small enough that you can still get detailed guidance when needed.
The trainers were great on the week I did it, I'm not sure if there is a rotation but I get the impression the owner, Andy, wouldn't hire any fools.
Will definitely be doing my re-val here!
- Kai KT
Andy is hands down one of the best trainers I've ever had. He is very clear with his instructions with his main focus to get you through the course and not to fail. He helped me get onto the course last minute with one on one guidance. True legend!
- Jamie Williams
We had a great experience doing our training here. Andy was so helpful and especially chill. Surely will suggest this training facility if you do your recertification or want to get your IRATA L1 go and see Andy.
See you in 3 years mate!
- Charston Cho
MEET THE TEAM
The crew who'll have your back
Your experience will only be as good as the people delivering it and ours have spent decades actually doing the work. They’re the people you’d happily trust at the top of a tower or creating a complex rescue scenario for the job required. Whether it be heavy industry, city, or off shore—there are limitless possibilities.

Andy: Founder/Head Trainer
Having spent 23 years in rope access and training, Andy is the person who decided technical training needn’t be boring—and then built a whole company around it. His whole philosophy stems from the belief that if you’re not enjoying it, then it’s not really going in. Always on site, always available to have a chat and somehow, always the most fun to be around.

Jeremy: L3 IRARA Trainer
Jeremy came to ropes the honest way: through a decade on the rock and in the alpine, where the mountains don't hand out participation trophies. Ten years working the City of Sydney's skyline later, there aren't many access problems he hasn't already solved twice. Calm, precise and quietly unflappable: exactly the person you want overhead when things get interesting.

Taylor: L3 IRATA Instructor
Taylor is, plainly, one of the most skilled rope access technicians in the country—and one of the most generous with it. High on a rope or deep in a confined space, she knows the IRATA safe system of work inside out and teaches it like it's second nature. Unshakeably steady, endlessly patient, and very hard to rattle.

Taj Paschini: L1 IRATA / Electrician
Taj has been kicking around ropes for years and has finally made it official as our junior assistant. A fully qualified sparky and a budding DJ, he brings a rare combo to the crew... he can wire your rig and then drop the beat at the after-party. Keen, capable, and always first to volunteer for the hard yakka.

Ariane de Geus: Bookings & Customer Care
Ariane is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone—the one who gets you booked, sorted and out on the ropes without the fuss. With a background in bookings and customer service (and fluent Brazilian Portuguese in her back pocket), she keeps the whole operation running smoothly. When she's not looking after our students, you'll find her chasing waves down the coast.
Our philosophy
Somewhere along the way, the world decided that if a subject really matters—and few things matter more than not falling off a building—then learning it has to be grey, joyless, and delivered by someone reading bullet points off a wall.
We think that's rubbish. Not to mention dangerous. But what we’ve discovered having worked in this industry for decades is that bored people don’t pay attention and when it comes to ropes access training, paying attention is critical.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Skills stick when you're doing, not sitting.
You learn a physical craft by trying it, getting it wrong safely, and nailing it, not by watching a slideshow. So we get you moving early and often.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
You can't fake competence.
Our courses are demanding and the assessment is independent and uncompromising, and notably, this is a course that not everybody passes. If you need more training, we’ll sort you out with additional training and assess at a later date. The objective is that by the time you walk out, you'll have earned every bit of that qualification and you'll actually be able to use it with confidence.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Safety is the floor, not the ceiling.
No job is worth an injury, and every injury is preventable. We run to the IRATA International standard, full stop. That's the line we never cross.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Mates teach better than managers.
We don't talk down to you or hide behind jargon to look clever. We treat everyone who walks through the door as a future colleague because in this industry, they probably are. You'll leave with skills, a ticket, and a few people in your corner.
